The Oklahoma Mystery

9:00 AM, 19th April 1995, Oklahoma City

Residents of Oklahoma City were just starting their day on that beautiful morning, oblivious of the fact that their life would never be same as it was at that moment. Shortly after 9:00 AM, an incredible explosion rocked the city to its core. The Alfred.P.Murrah Federal building in downtown Oklahoma City had just been blown to bits with a truck bomb. The explosion was so powerful that it damaged or destroyed 324 nearby buildings. 86 cars were either set ablaze or were substantially damaged. Shock wave of the blast was felt within 16 mile radius and shattered glasses of 258 buildings. Explosion and shock wave and the sound of the blast was felt upto 89 Kms away. Explosion was estimated to be equivalent to 2400 kg of TNT. The explosion generated a tremor equivalent to an earthquake registering 3.00 on a Richter Scale. Bomb was prepared with 2200 kg of Ammonium Nitrate, Nitromethane and diesel fuel.
According to official account, a young white supremacist Timothy Mcveigh parked the bomb laden Ryder truck in a drop of zone, underneath the building's day care center. Then Mcveigh lit a five minute fuse, exited and locked the truck. Then he headed towards his getaway car parked nearby and drove away. At approximately 9:02 AM, the bomb detonated in front of the northern side of Alfred.P.Murrah federal building.

168 people were killed in the explosion or from the injuries sustained due to the explosion, including 19 children who were in the day care center. One third of the building i.e. The entire northern side of the building was completely destroyed. The explosion created a 30 feet wide and 8 feet deep crater on NW 5th Street next to the building.

FBI Investigators reported that Timothy Mcveigh was helped by Terry Nichols who hired the truck and helped in construction of the bomb. Official account mentioned that Timothy Mcveigh was a member of a white supermacist group called Aryan Republican Army(ARA). Motive behind the bombing was reported to be the payback of the Waco and Ruby Ridge Massacres committed by ATF and FBI. Supposed target of the Oklahoma bombing was the ATF headoffice that was located on the 5th floor of the 9 storey Alfred.P.Murrah Federal building. But amazingly not a single ATF agent was in the office at the time of explosion. This raised many eyebrows and gave birth to the suspicion that ATF had prior knowledge of the explosion.

After nearly 20 years of investigations and court hearings, still a lot of the questions about that morning are unanswered and torment people who lost their loved ones that day. These are just few of those controversial questions asked by public, over looked by the investigating Departments and forgotten by the government.

Lone Bomber Theory
From the very beginning of FBI's investigation into Oklahoma City bombing, it seemed as if they were more intent on covering things up rather than exposing them. One example of Feds trying to cover things up is that despite numerous witness reports that they saw another man with Timothy Mcveigh, FBI claimed that a lone bomber was responsible for the bombings. Many witnesses with the help of Oklahoma City Police Department's sketch artist even provided the composite drawings of other of Mcveigh's accomplices. But FBI just refused to consider that possibility. Question arises, when witnesses are telling that there was another guy with Mcveigh, why would FBI ignore their testimonies and keep on insisting that thee was only one bomber? Who was that accomplice of Timothy Mcveigh?

Was that guy connected to FBI in any way, because that would explain FBI's continous denial about the presence of another bomber?

Ruby Ridge Tragedy
Mind you FBI and ATF were both going through a rough patch in terms of public relation. In 1992 Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco and Firearms were investigating a guy named Frank Kumnick for his involvement in a white supermacist group called Aryan Nation. In order to turn Kumnick's friend Randy Weaver against Kumnick ATF threatened him of filing false arms charges against him for sale of sawed-off shotguns. Randy Weaver refused and this confrontation took a turn for the worse during next interaction between ATF and Randy Weaver.  It ended with the deaths of Weaver's son Sammy, his wife Vicki, and Deputy U.S. Marshal William Francis Degan. This incident generated a huge outcry throughout America. The ATF's shear disregard for civilian lives generated a lot of hatred against the ATF and FBI.

The Waco Siege
Exactly 2 years before the Oklahoma City Bombing, on 19th April 1993, ATF conducted an arms raid at the Branch Davidian's Mount Carmel Center near Waco, Texas on suspicions of illegal modification of assault rifles and possession of a large stock pile of guns for sale purposes at the Mount Carmel Center. On the day of raid, ATF attacked the Mount Carmel Center in most threatening way possible. They opened fire at branch Davidians and tried to force their way into the compound. Suspecting a sinister motive behind ATF's violent actions, David Koresh also asked his men to shoot back and fight on till death. After that all hell broke loose and a heartbreaking tragedy started unfolding. In later stages of the Waco Siege, FBI took charge of investigation and operations. To some extent miscommunication between ATF agents and Branch Davidians was responsible for the escalation but main reason behind the worsened situation was the threatening and derogatory behaviour of ATF and FBI agents, situation which should have been handled delicately, was allowed to escalate. After 51 agonising days, Waco Siege ended in a massacre of 87 branch Davidian men, women and children. Four federal agents also lost their lives during the siege.

Aftermath of the two incidents
People still hadn't recovered from the Ruby Ridge Tragedy, when an even bigger tragedy unfolded at Waco. After Waco, people lost all their faith in all federal law enforcing agencies and started looking at ATF and FBI with a feeling of disgust and contempt. So when people saw another secret agenda in play by the FBI, they quickly raised their concerns over the intent of FBI for conducting a thorough and honest investigation. Families of the victims of Oklahoma City Bombing felt that their loved ones who perished in the explosion deserved a honest investigation, which FBI was not providing.

In the aftermath of the two incidents in Waco and Ruby ridge, people had started to view federal agencies as evil invaders and tools of oppression. This resentment for the government resulted a huge surge into the militia movement in which citizens started forming civilian paramilitary resistance groups to combat the attacks of federal government on the liberty and civil rights of the people.

The ATF Connection
Moments before the explosion at A.P.Murrah building, witnesses notices an unusually large number of ATF agents present in the vicinity of the blast. People particularly remembered most ATF agents who were present in front of the Murrah building were wearing jackets and caps with clearly marked ATF on them. This wasn't that unusual in itself because ATF had a regional office in P.Murrah building, rather it was unusual because even long term employees at the federal building had never seen ATF agents in clearly marked apparel. They were mostly seen in normal clothing with no ATF markings on them.

This gave rise to another question that were the ATF carrying out some kind of operation at the time of explosion. Their unusually large presence in front of the federal building, made people suspicious that there was something going on with ATF that morning.

Another thing that made people even more suspicious of ATF was that despite of being a regional head office on the 5th floor, there was not a single ATF agent in the office at the time of explosion.

Every single one of the ATF agents was present outside the building at the time of explosion. People suspected and alleged that ATF had previous knowledge of the bombing and they deliberately didn't provide this information to other concerned departments. This included several federal departments who also had their offices with the P.Murrah building. Eight of the victims were federal law enforcement agents four from the United States Secret Service, two from the United States Customs Service, one from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and one from the United States Department of Housing and Urban development. It is alleged that former U.S. Rep. Ernest Istook had prior knowledge of the bombing and that ATF agents were warned to stay away from the building on April 19.

Paramedic Tiffany Bible, one of earliest respondent was on the scene within five minutes of the explosion. Tiffany gave a written affidavit that when she arrived at the scene an ATF agent told her that none of the ATF agents were in their office at the time of explosion. Another EMT Katherine Mallet also gave statement that she overheard two ATF agents talking in which one ATF agent asked the other "Is this why we got the page not to come in this morning". Another ATF agent also told a local TV station that they were paged that morning not to come in that day.

ATF quite expectedly denied these allegations and even tried to rebuff these claims by lying that one of their agents was in the building indeed. ATF stated that this agent was in a free falling elevator. This claim was quickly debunked by engineers who verified that none of the elivators had a free fall. Rescue workers also verified that they had rescued nobody from the any of the elevators. With this claim debunked, ATF then claimed all their agents had been on an all night stakeout, so this is the reason why they were late that morning. When even this claim fell through the floor then ATF stated that there was a departmental Golf Tournament that day and all agents were there when the explosion took place. And even this statement was disproved. All these repetitive lies, made people question that did ATF receive a warning that morning? And if they did, why didn't they pass this information to others in the A.P.Murrah building?

Additional Explosions
Numerous survivors claimed that the entire Murrah guiding shook violently, going back and forth like an earthquake, seconds before the the main explosion. The tremors felt were so much like an earthquake that many people reportedly hid under their desks. This inadvertly saved many lives by shielding them from falling debri when the whole side of the building collapsed. Agent Michael Hilton was on his way to his office in a bus when tremors nearly tipped the bus over. Even the Seismograph at the University of Oklahoma registered two tremor waves at a gap of 10 seconds. This clearly pointed to the fact that there must have been additional explosions in the Murrah building.

Even several engineers who inspected the debri of the Murrah building concluded that kind of damage suffered by the Alfred.P.Murrah building cannot be achieved unless the main columns on the North side of the building were specifically targeted. So they concluded that there had to be more explosives laced on those columns for the building to collapse.

More bombs found at the Murrah building
There were several additional evacuations of the Murrah building after the initial damage due to what were later attributed to baseless bomb scares. But several witnesses have declared that real, unexploded ordnance was discovered in the wreckage of the Murrah building and that this ordnance was recovered by the bomb squad. OKC Fire Marshal Dick Miller reported that a second bomb had been found with a timer set to go off ten minutes after the first explosions, apparently to target the rescue workers.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol dispatch record shows that a second bomb was found, as does a Deptartment of Defense (Atlantic Command) log which states that, “A second bomb was disarmed, and third bomb was evacuated.” Nurse Toni Garret has reported that four rescue workers had told her that another bomb had been found set to detonate ten minutes after the first detonations. The official story says that these bomb scares were due to a suspicious briefcase, a gimmick alarm clock or an inert training device used by the ATF.

Recently OETA, the public broadcasting channel in Oklahoma, reported that the bomb scares were contrived in order to make the media pull back from the scene, even though many victims were abandoned during these evacuations. As the various agencies and mainstream media outlets try to sort out their stories. Question remains were their additional Unexploded bombs? If yes, who planted these bombs and why is the government lying about them?

Bomb Warning from other informants
An ATF informant had infiltrated Elohim City, a white separatist community in eastern Oklahoma, in the months before the bombing.  She reported to her handlers that extremists were plotting to bomb federal buildings and assassinate government officials and that they were making reconnaissance trips to OKC. She has named Andreas Strassmeier, Michael Brescia, Dennis Mahon and Peter and Tony Ward as probable accomplices to Tim McVeigh.  It should be noted that McVeigh placed a phone call to Andreas Strassmeier at Elohim City shortly before the bombing. Her testimony was ruled inadmissible during the trial. Furthermore another informant, Cary Gagan was granted a letter of immunity by the Dept. of Justice for his work in reporting on a terrorist group that was plotting to destroy the Alfred P. Murrah Building. He warned his handlers that he had been delivering explosives for this group and that he had been sent on scouting missions to the Murrah building.

These revelations proved the fact that if not ATF, some federal agency knew about the bombing beforehand. And ATF might very well have been warned to stay away from the building that morning. But question remains why wasn't this information with others in the building?

Bomb Squad At The Federal Courthouse Before The Bombing
Randall Yount met an acquaintance of his at the bombing scene who was a member of the OK Co. Bomb Squad. This man told Yount, “Yeah, we’ve been down here since early this morning looking.  We got word there was going to be a bomb, and we thought it was going to be at the courthouse. We went over and couldn’t find anything.” Renee Cooper, Attorney Dan Adomitis, J.D. Reed with the Ok. Co. Assessor’s Office, Norma Joslin of the Ok. Co. Board of Elections and private investigator Claude Criss everybody reported the presence of bomb squad at the federal courthouse that morning, before the bombing.

Mystery of the Severed leg
According to Stephen Jones, McVeigh's attorney, State Medical Examiner Vernon Jordan has stated, “We have eight people with traumatically amputated left legs, and we have nine left legs.” Dr. Jordan also added that the chances that someone was buried with two right legs to be zero.  Chief Pathologist for Northern Ireland T.K. Marshall had performed autopsies on 2,500 bombing victims in his time and has stated, “There is never an unknown victim.”  One must assume that this leg belonged to a perpetrator close enough to the bomb for his body to be “disrupted” to such an extent, leaving only a leg behind. So who was this person?

CCTV footage tapes
There were dozens of video surveillance cameras that recorded what was going on the morning of the bombing, yet almost none of these have been released and none show what transpired with the Ryder truck at the Murrah building. Most recently, the government had chained that all the cameras pointed at the Murrah building, in many different buildings and maintained by different offices and businesses, were having their tapes changed at the same time, 9:02 a.m. This is ludicrous, and insulting to the memory of those who perished in the bombing. What do they have to hide?

DEATH OF OFFICER TERRANCE YEAKY
On the day of the blast, Oklahoma City Police Department's officer Terrance Yeaky was issuing a motorist a ticket, one block from the Murrah Building. While he was talking to the motorist, he was rattled by the explosion at the Murrah building. He immediately let the motorist off with a warning and headed towards the Murrah building. He reached the Murrah Building with 3 minutes of the blast so he was one of the first respondents to reach Murrah building. He immediately started assisting the injured people.

When he heard about the news about the arrest of Timothy Mcveigh and about his supermacist group being responsible for the blast, he was stressed and disappointed. He reportedly told his colleague and friend that the truth was not what was being told to the public. Terrance Yeaky was writing his account of details about what he saw on the day of the blast.

He had even contacted a FBI agent to tell him that he had some new evidence which would help FBI in finding the people responsible for the deaths of 168 people who died in the Bombing.

But on May 6th 1996, Sgt. Terrance Yeaky's body was found just outside Oklahoma. He had numerous lacerations on his arms and legs. It was quite apparent to the investigators that Yeaky had been bound and tortured before he was killed by slashed wrists. His body was found about a mile away from his car. Every evidence pointed to the fact that he was forcefully taken to the location where is body was found.

To the shock of his colleagues and family his death was adjudged as a suicide. The investigators concluded that Yeaky had committed suicide by slashing his wrists even though they had no logical explanation for his body being a mile away from his car and for lacerations on his arms which suggest he was bound and tortured.

Did he see something on the day of the blast that he was not supposed to? Was his death a result of his decision to give his account of details to the FBI? Why were no documents found at his house? Did someone destroy them so that they never see the light of the day?

Sgt.Terrance Yeaky's death remains another unanswered question related to the Oklahoma City bombing of 19th April 1995.

DEATH OF MICHAEL LOUDENSLAGER
Shortly after the bombing, Michael Loudenslager was actively helping in the rescue and recovery effort.  A large number of those at the bomb-site either saw or talked with him. … To the absolute astonishment of a large number of police officers and rescue workers, it was later reported that G.S.A. employee Mike Loudenslager's body had been found inside theMurrah Building the following Sunday, still at his desk, a victim of the 9:02 A.M. bombing!  This, mind you, after he'd already been seen alive and well by numerous rescue workers at the bomb-site AFTER the bombing!  He is also officially listed as one of the 168 bombing fatalities.

The question is was he murdered and placed at his desk by federal agents?  Or was he just simply murdered by them and SAID to have been found at his desk?  Access to the inside of the building, from shortly after the bombing onward was extremely limited to nearly all but federal employees by the F.B.I.  His death is UNQUESTIONABLY the most important sidelight of the Oklahoma City bombing.

CONSPIRACY THEORY
Things that happened on 19th April 1995, have bewildered even the seasoned investigators. None of the government's agencies and their investigators have been able to answer all above mentioned questions. Conflicting accounts about the explosion, bizarre behaviour of the ATF, simultaneous malfunction of multiple cameras, testimonies about more than one suspects and the strange deaths of OCPD Officer Terrance Yeaky and Michael Loudenslager force us to believe that there is more to this tragedy than what meets the eye.

Conspiracy theorists agree on one thing that Timothy Mcveigh was working for the FBI as an spy within the white supermacist groups. It is also alleged that it was FBI and ATF who supplied Mcveigh with the raw materials to build the bomb. But everything went haywire when Timothy Mcveigh double crossed the double crossing FBI and decided to use FBI to carry out his own attack on the federal government.

There is no proof of this theory but it does answers many answers that FBI wasn't able to answer in their report about the bombing. So to think that investigation into the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City was a honest and thorough one, is a big mistake. Investigation for Oklahoma City bombing has to be reopened so that all these unanswered questions can be answered.

Because truth will only come out if we search for it.
