Well I know this topic is very controversial and people don't like to talk about it. But this doesn't change the fact that its real and it's happening even to this very day. When it comes to men & women serving their country, people become very emotional and defensive. Look I am not at all saying that all men and women serving in the US Armed forces are evil and bad, but just like not all people in this world are moral and ethical same way not all soldiers in the US Armed forces are moral and ethical. I see every day images of US soldiers rescuing children in the war zone and helping out the wounded civilians on streets of Baghdad and Kandahar. But it is a sad fact that people pay much more focus on the bad elements in any force in comparison to the good ones.
As I have mentioned earlier there are bad elements in each and every aspect of life. You got bad mailman, bad pizza delivery guy, bad plumber, bad teacher, bad driver in all sorts of other areas in life. But the difference is that these bad people are not given an assault rifle and sent to invade foreign nations. When you throw a dynamite stick in a fire, you should be assured of the explosion. Somethings are just not meant to be mixed. If you send psychopaths and unstable individuals into a battlefield, you can be sure that something horrible is bound to happen. But this time it wasn't a mistake.
According to the US Army documents leaked on Wikileaks, US army was specifically recruiting cadets with some kind of psychiatric abnormalities mostly the ones with anger and violent outbursts, psychopathic tendencies, sociopathic tendencies and identity disassociation disorder. Reason for this was that the kind of things the elite wanted US Soldiers to do in Iraq and Afghanistan would have crushed the soul of a normal sane minded person. So they employed mostly those people who were able to distant themselves from empathy and sympathy for their victims. This is the primarily reason why at an average 22 veterans are committing suicide every day. Because they were normal sane minded people like you and me, but the things they were forced to do in Iraq and Afghanistan wounded their soul. Their conscience just wouldn't allow them to forget the attrocities that they were forced to committ in name of American people, so they quietly leave this world with all its pain behind. These people were the real heroes and also the victims of this war of terror.
Some of the images that have somehow made their way into public media show the extent to which these psychopathic and insane people are willing to go in their lust for oil. You must have seen the leaked images from the Abu Gharib Prison. The shear ability of these individuals to laugh while performing such heinous crimes and human right abuses disgusts me beyond comprehension. And the most tragic part is most of the people who were subjected to such cruel acts were innocent civilians who had nothing to do with this war, infact they were the victims of the war. And yet the brave soldiers of freedom stripped them naked, humiliated them, tortured them and in many cases murdered them. What justification is there for such heinous crimes to be committed against innocent people? Was there crime that their skin had more melanin? Or was their crime that they were unable to defender themselves?
Western media has constantly hidden the despicable crimes committed by these insane individuals. Knowing it well enough that if they revealed the true face of this war to the public, people will start opposing these imperialistic wars. So the International channels like CNN, MSNBC, FOX, PBS, BBC and Reuters very successfully hide the reality of this war of terror. But just because these corrupt media corporations aren't reporting these war crimes it doesn't mean that they are not being committed. Numerous brave US soldiers have revealed the horrifying details about the crimes against humanity being committed by the US personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of these brave soldiers who revealed truth in public media, have paid for their conscience by being fired from Army, imprisoned for revealing classified information and in rare cases with their lives.
On March 31, 2004 - Iraqi insurgents from the Brigades of Martyr Ahmed Yassin in Fallujah ambushed a convoy containing four American private military contractors employed by Blackwater USA, who were at the time guarding a convoy carrying kitchen supplies to a military base.The four contractors were dragged from their cars, beaten, and set ablaze. Their burned corpses were then dragged through the streets before being hung over a bridge crossing the Euphrates.
This incident was followed by one of the most heinous case of genocide committed by the US Army. In order to avenge the death of these four US Contractors, US forces blocked up the entire town of Fallujah. 70,000 female residents, children less than 15 years of age and elderly residents of Fallujah were allowed to leave Fallujah. Every male above the age of 15 was blocked within the the town of Fallujah. Then the town of Fallujah was bombed continously for 6 hours with more than 20,000 missiles, mortars and cruise missiles. Even hundreds of infamous cluster bombs were utilised during this onslaught. As a result more than 25,000 male inhabitants of Fallujah lost their lives in this deliberate act of Genocide. But the even more shocking part of this tragic incident was that after the bombing US Soldiers went into the town and executed all wounded and still alive male inhabitants of Fallujah. The extent to which this act of genocide was hidden by the media and government is beyond belief. Most people only know about the attack on contractors and are totally oblivious about the mass murder committed in Fallujah. To punish a group of 30 insurgents more than 25,000 innocent civilians and children were murdered.
People have a huge misconception about what these US contractors are doing in Iraq. Most people believe that these Private Contractors are merely working in the civilian reconstruction projects and in the service sector, which is an inaccurate myth. Majority of these private contractors are equivalent of private military personnel or simply mercenaries. And these contractors are responsible for various tasks like battling insurgents, wiping out the resistance, providing security, abducting civilians, interrogation and torture of detainees. Majority of the war crimes committed during the course of this war have been committed by these private contractors.
And majority of these private military contractors are ex-gangsters, ex-criminals, retired army and police personnel. But because they are not bound by the international laws like the Armed forces are, they feel free to committ all kinds of brutal crimes against innocent civilians. And in nearly all such cases, there are no repercussions of their actions. They go around as if they were the dictators of Iraq shooting and abducting people and doing whatever they desire with them. Crimes committed by these mercenaries include rape of young women and girls, murder of unarmed innocent civilians, acts of genocide, beheading the innocent prisoners and mass execution. And yet not a single one of these criminals have ever been indicted for their crimes.
There have been numerous incidents during the course of war where US Forces deliberately attacked the children buildings like school, kids hospital and shelters. US forces have murdered thousands of innocent children in Iraq in a premeditated and deliberate manner. Western forces have also made a habit of bombing the places of communal gathering like mosques and madrasahs. The invasion of a Iraq alone has resulted in more than 1.5 million of civilian deaths out of which more than 300,000 were children. Incidents of mass beheading by the US soldiers and especially Private Military Contractors have also been reported. Thousands of people have simply disappeared and are never heard from again who were arrested by the US authorities just before their disappearance.
US forces have repeatedly used chemical weapons like white phosphorus cluster bombs in Iraq. If you don't know what white phosphorus is, imagine something that burns at 3000 degrees and when it falls on somebody it burns away the skin tissue, then muscles and then to the very bone. Everything that comes to contact with it is turned into a heap of charcoal. I have images below where you can see what white phosphorus can do to a human. Another favourite weapon of US in Iraq has been the depleted uranium artillery bombs. These radioactive bombs were used in the Fallujah shelling and all over Iraq. As a result of repetitive use of these radioactive bombs, the water, soil and even the atmosphere of targeted places has become highly radioactive. Because of this young children during and after the invasion have been born with severe disfiguring mutations. I got so emotional when I saw images of these unfortunate infants that I just burst in tears. Watching newborn babies with no eyes, no nose, disfigured limbs and body will hit you like a brick of walls. I too was hit by it and I have never been able to turn back to who I was before it. So there is nothing to be proud of the attrocities committed by US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are fighting for nobody's freedom, not America's freedom and absolutely not for freedom of Iraqi people. This war has always been about the Iraqi oil fields and nothing more. Corporations have turned US armed forces into their own mercenary army to implement their will wherever they desire.
